Export your spiral memory as a ZIP archive for backup, sharing, or migration.

Export

helixmind export                      # Current directory
helixmind export ./backups            # Specific directory
helixmind export -n my-project        # With project name

Includes: All nodes (L1–L6), metadata, edges. Embeddings are re-generated on import.

Import

helixmind import backup.zip           # Merge (default)
helixmind import --replace backup.zip  # Replace all

Mode	Behavior
Merge	Adds imported nodes alongside existing ones
Replace	Wipes existing data and replaces with archive

Use Cases

• Backup: helixmind export ~/backups/
• Team sharing: Export on Dev A → Import on Dev B
• Machine migration: Export on old → Import on new machine
• In chat: /export exports to the project root
